White Mountains AZ Spring! Lilacs tell the story.

T.S. Eliot penned, "April is the cruelest month", and if you hope for the smell of lilacs in the Spring here in the White Mountains of Arizona, that phrase will haunt you!

Yes, lilacs can grow here!  We planted this now near-Mini-Cooper sized lilac about 10 years ago (what did we know about April in the Mountains, then?) when it was a tiny weedy thing in a 1/2-gallon bucket.  For the last few years, April had been hot, balmy-- a total set-up.  But, as you can see, it flourished.  Now, being originally from the East Coast, we've had our share of running out with all the sheets in the house to cover azaleas-- so what made us think April wouldn't be dicey here in the White Mountains? "Hope springs eternal", another famous quote comes to mind.

White Mountains AZ Real Estate - What Exactly is The White Mountains?

What Exactly is the White Mountains of Arizona?  What does that mean?

Good question!  Recently it appears that some online searches for White Mountains AZ real estate are returning results that are Pinetop-centric, and that's a bit misleading.  Because the White Mountains is a whole lot more than just one small area!

2013 - What's going on in the White Mountains AZ Real Estate Market? ... and a video!

Long time no see!

We’re watching White Mountains Arizona Real Estate trends coming into the 2013 market.  And there are some “markers” that you, as a potential buyer or seller of White Mountains AZ real estate may not see, but we do.  And that’s what OTHER real estate agents are doing and why they’re doing it.

A big market temperature indicator (what agents are doing) is the explosion of real estate websites.  Where an agent might have had none, now s/he has a website.  Where an agent or brokerage might have had one, now they have two, three, or more.  Why?  Well, the fact is that the buyer pool is relatively small compared to a couple of years ago, the inventory is fairly low, and a lot of agents are not coping well with what they see as an anomaly.  So, they think they need to do something—something that brings back the “good old days” of lots of buyers, lots of sellers.  As if intensified marketing can actually affect THE market.  It can’t…. Not really.
