First Tomato of the Summer!

Okay, it's a start, right?  There are other HUGE green tomatoes on the vines, we promise.  This little darling is going to be the perfect sliced fit for Pam's 1/2 bagel with cream cheese!  Well, maybe with a little room left over...

 

Tomato and cream cheese on a bagel?  To DIE FOR.  You should try it.  Just sprinkle with a little salt & pepper, and you're in for a real treat!

 

Tomatoes are beginning to show up at local farmer's markets here in White Mountains AZ-- and they actually do well up here.  Use a little more water and don't "sucker" them (removing the sprouts in the joints) because sun at this altitude can be brutal-- you need all the foliage you can get.  At least that's our take on it.

We've experienced a lot of visitors in the White Mountains this summer, and we're really happy to have them.  Everybody's having fun!  Seeing a big spike in home-buying, too, and we REALLY like that because that's what we like to do best-- sell White Mountains AZ homes and real estate.  Hope to see YOU soon!
